What we do: Friends of Full Pocket Farm supports integrated, farm-based opportunities for people of all abilities through educational opportunities, fostering community engagement, creating access and building potential. How we do it:
Provide education through modules on habitats, wetlands, fishing, growing food, gardening, healthy living, horticultural therapy, and farm field trip experiences.
Foster community engagement through social events (seasonal parties, concerts, plays, etc.) and outreach to other organizations.
Create access for all by maintaining wheelchair accessibility, using adaptive tools, modifying activities, providing “Quiet Spaces” and coordinating transportation.
Build potential by providing entrepreneurial opportunities, “maker space”, craft fairs, and Farmer’s Markets.
